West Brom v QPR FA Cup Replay Prediction 15th January 2013

West Brom v QPR Betting Preview
The collapse of the Baggies on the weekend in the Premier League against strugglers Reading has made this replay even more interesting. The two sides met recently in the Premier League as well, with the Baggies taking a 2-1 win at Loftus Road on Boxing Day. It was a one goal margin by which West Brom beat QPR at the Hawthorns earlier in the season, and still being stuck at the bottom of the league, QPR really don’t this replay right now. Will that put the ball firmly in the court of West Brom?

West Brom v QPR Recommended Bet:
So there have been two wins for West Brom over the R’s in the Premier League so far, but they couldn’t convert it to a third when they met at Loftus Road a couple of weekends ago. Albion are not in top form at the moment, losing their last three Premier League in a row and you wonder if they are just running out steam. Without a win in their last four matches all together now, their last win came against Rangers in the league. Steve Clarke’s men will be heavy favourites to take the win here as they have the better side, home advantage and the relegation worries of QPR on their side. West Brom have not lost in their last six home matches against QPR as well, winning four of them, and the last two back to back as well. So there is a high probability that the Baggies are going to get through this one. There will be a few nerves around as they blew a two goal lead against Reading on the weekend, the Royals striking three times in the last eight minutes to shock and sink West Brom. At the end of the day though, there should be more composure from the home side who have won seven of eleven Premier League fixtures at the Hawthorns this term. A solid enough home side to muscle their way through this one.
QPR have taken on board something of an upward swing in form under Harry Redknapp. Getting enough goals on the board is still their biggest upheaval as they have netted just twice in their last six Premier League matches. However, in their last two matches they have taken a surprise win at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea, and then worked hard for a goalless draw against Spurs. So that has been some cause of optimism for the R’s ,even though they have taken just the one win in their last six matches in all competitions. The first meeting against West Brom was a bit of a non event and it was a 90th minute equaliser from Kieron Dyer which produced the replay. With a big mountain to climb for Premier League survival, this is a match which they really don’t need. Still, Redknapp is a fighter and won’t throw in the towel. There could actually be some positive momentum gained, and the all important confidence if they happen to string an FA Cup run together. There really is no pressure on them, yet having lost twice against the Baggies this season in the EPL, and missing out on converting home advantage in the Third Round, they could suffer here. Given the results this season it may be worth looking at a West Brom 1 Goal Winning Margin for a price of 11/4 at online bookmaker Bet365.
