It has been a difficult month as City haven’t won any of their four matches played in December so far. However, they have been very good on the road, going unbeaten in their last ten matches. In that span of games the Citizens have managed to earn five clean sheets as well, and have scored six goals in their last five away matches. Their last three away games have produced clean sheets, so Roberto Mancini’s men, even though they haven’t been on top of their game this season, they have been resilient. They showed that last weekend in fighting back to draw level after falling two goals behind to Man United. With nine wins and two draws in their last eleven Premier League matches against Newcastle, and five straight wins against the Magpies, the visitors look as if they may just have enough to edge this, or at least get a point on the board.
