Everton v Tottenham Betting Preview
A top six clash between two solid sides. Spurs have bounced back into form in impressive style winning the last three in a row, while Everton can’t seem to break themselves out of their habit of drawing matches. The London side go into this clash three points ahead of the Toffees and with a win could help their chase for a top four finish. Everton won’t want to see themselves falling six points behind Andre Villas-Boas’s men though.

Everton v Tottenham Recommended Bet:
There has been seven draws for the Toffees in their last nine league matches. Can they break out of their frustrations? Everton continue to play well but they just keep getting pegged back into parity. Still, they are a powerful side and if only they can enact their great defence which they have been known for under David Moyes, they would be riding very high. As it is, there has been just one win in their last eight league matches but they have turned their tide of form at home against Spurs. After winning two of their first 18 Premier League clashes with Spurs at home, Everton have rattled off wins in the last two. The Toffees are currently on a run of three straight games ending in a 1-1 result and yet they are still the side which has had the most shots on target in the Premier League this season. Everton have not been beaten at Goodison Park this season, picking up three wins and four draws. They have scored twelve goals in their seven games, but they have also conceded at just over a goal per game. They have scored a high percentage of their goals in the first half of matches this season and have hit the woodwork more times than anyone else. They have power going forward, enough to put Tottenham to the sword, but it is hard to look past a draw for Everton at the moment.
Spurs are on a high with three straight wins in a row, including an impressive 3-0 triumph away at Fulham last weekend. It has been a good turnaround after three straight defeats for the Londoners. Spurs haven’t drawn on the road this season, taking four wins and three defeats. In stark contrast to Everton, Spurs haven’t drawn in their last twelve Premier League in total, so could be due one. They have lost two of their last three away matches, so are a bit hit and miss in this one. They are scoring well on the road at a rate of over two goals per game but have conceded at a rate of 1.8 goals per game on their travels. So it could well end up as parity at Goodison on Sunday. Tottenham’s frailties have been at the back end of matches this season, and if the Premier League matches were just 80 minutes long instead of 90, Spurs would be top of the pile at the moment. Striker Jermain has netted three braces this season, a joint league high along with Newcastle’s Demba Ba. Tottenham have not conceded a goal in the first fifteen minutes of a match this season, but with Everton being a tougher opponent than anyone else they have faced on their three game winning streak, looking at coverage for a draw does make sense. A Tottenham +0.25 Asian Handicap looks decent at 11/10 with online bookmaker Bet365.
