Bradford v Swansea Betting Preview
One the most unlikeliest looking lineups for a Wembley final that we have seen for a long time, it may be, but still there are plenty of betting options to be enjoyed in the battle for what will be the first piece of domestic silverware to be handed out this season. Premier League side Swansea city are strong favourites to take the cup, but as we have already seen this season, the Bantams are not a side who will go away quietly, having knocked out three sides from England’s top flight to get to this stage already.

Bradford v Swansea Recommended Bet:
The antics of the Bantams in the league cup this season have been based around luck, tension and a never say die spirit. Twice they needed penalty shoot outs to get past higher opposition, taking out Premier League opponents in Wigan and then famously Arsenal by that same spot-kick method. But then they faced trial by a Premier League opponent for the third time in the cup as they faced Aston Villa in the semi final. A strong 3-1 home lead in the first leg, thanks to some terrible Villa defending of high balls, gave the Bantams enough of an edge to survive defeat back at Villa Park, and still get through to Wembley. So now the biggest moment in their history is upon them. Do they have one more magical moment up their sleeve in this year’s cup run?

Bradford are a mid table side in League Two, the fourth tier of English football. What has been even more remarkable about their run is that they haven’t been in any great form in the league. They have taken just one win in their last eight, suffering defeats in half of those matches. So it has definitely been against the odds has their League Cup run to Wembley been, but is the cup destined to go to Yorkshire? They have scored their goals, and they have hung on in there with some big defensive efforts when they have needed to. Swansea are being backed heavily to go all the way and take the title and although most of the focus has been on Bradford’s amazing cup run this season, the Swans have secured themselves some big wins too on their way to Wembley. Their first win of note came in a difficult match at Anfield, where they shot down former manager Brendan Rodgers 3-1 on the night.

But then there was even better to come from them as they then faced up against the fancied Chelsea in the semi finals. Some clinical finishing in the first leg at Stamford Bridge, saw Swansea take a 2-0 lead to the second leg, which they defended easily without too many scares. That was the second big scalp for them and why the dreams of Bantam’s glory may have to sit on the back burner. Swansea are a top eight side in the Premier League and they don’t give all that much away. They will be without Chico Flores who hasn’t recovered in time to partner Ashley Williams in the heart of the Welsh club’s defence. Swansea will go with number two keeper Gerhard Tremmel, who has played all the cup games so far this season. The big dangerman from Swansea will of course be Michu, with his immense finishing power. If he gets the time and the space, then he could be the one to make all the difference in the Wembley showcase on Sunday.

It is probably going to be worth going with Michu as First Goalscorer at a price of 3/1 with online bookmaker Skybet.
